Applied Energy Technologies Announces Expansion of Manufacturing in Ontario, Canada
(MAUMEE, OH), June 24, 2011 – Applied Energy Technologies (AET), a leading global provider of solar mounting solutions, announced today they are manufacturing their Rayport solar mounting system in Ontario, Canada.
AET is pleased to add their racking products to Canadas environmentally responsible market. Having the mounting solutions manufactured locally in Canada enables Canadian customers to take full advantage of the government incentives. Additionally, the mounting solutions will benefit Ontarios economic growth. The manufacturing of the racking products conforms to ISO 9001 certifications and Ontarios FIT and MicroFit domestic content requirements.
"We are committed to serving the Canadian market and excited to be able to meet the local manufacturing requirements for Ontario's FIT and MicroFit programs. This also represents a stepping-stone for AET into international markets," said Aaron Faust, Vice President of Business Development for AET.
AET's new Canadian operation, which began production in April, supplies the Canadian PV market with its Rayport stainless series ballasted racking system for commercial roof applications. Rayport is the first of AET's product lineup to launch in Ontario as a response to the requirements set forth by the Canadian Provinces Feed-in-Tariff program.
"The Rayport system has been incredibly successful in the US market and were excited to offer local manufacturing to the Canadian market," said Aaron Faust, Vice President of Business Development at AET. "We have found an immediate need to produce the Rayport in Ontario for our growing Canadian customer base. Being able to offer the Rayport in Canada will allow our customers to both meet the associated FIT requirements and deploy one of the premier roof top systems in North America."
