(CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI), February 10, 2011 - Applied Energy Technologies (AET), an emerging leader in the photovoltaic mounting market, announced the formation of a new subsidiary, AET Canada.
AET's new Canadian operation, which begins production in late April, will supply the Canadian PV market with its Rayport stainless series ballasted racking system for commercial roof applications. Rayport will be the first of AET's product lineup to launch in Ontario as a response to the requirements set forth by the Canadian Provinces Feed-in-Tariff program.
"The Rayport system has been incredibly successful in the US market and in part, has allowed AET to become a major player in the Solar Industry," said Aaron Faust, Vice President of Business Development at AET. "We have found an immediate need to produce the Rayport in Ontario for our growing Canadian customer base. Being able to offer the Rayport in Canada will allow our customers to both meet the associated FIT requirements and deploy one of the premier roof top systems in North America."
