Inovateus and Nova Consultants Incorporate AET's 10-Degree Flat Roof Ballast Rayport Racking System into their 200kw Installation on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Building in Downtown Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. — Inovateus and Nova consultants awarded Applied Energy Technologies (AET) the contract to supply the Rayport Stainless Series Roof Ballast Rack for their 200kW PV installation on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Building in Downtown Detroit.

Industry-leading installation times and universal solar panel support were critical factors in their decision to use AETs racking solution. Utilizing the only stainless steel roof ballast system available on the market ensures the installation will remain intact for the life of the panels.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is among the first organizations in Michigan to participate in DTEs SolarCurrents program. Installation will begin late 2010 and will generate an equivalent amount of power that would be consumed by about 40 homes in a year.
